This Turkish Anatolian kilim rug is semi-antique and is between 80-90 years old and is in great condition. The rug is handmade and coloured with natural plant and vegetable dyes which have aged well, this type of colouring is almost impossible to replicate with modern dyeing techniques. The base is filled with three central panels of red and cream which are full of multi-coloured diamond and zigzag motifs and is finished off with a cream and petite fringe. This really is a special piece given its age and would not look out of place in any home. If you wish to own a piece of Turkish craftsmanship that is both decorative and has investment potential, then this rug should be considered.
